Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be an incorporated not-for-profit organisation, incorporated Aboriginal community organisation, Local Aboriginal Land Council, Lord Howe Island Board, unincorporated Far West group, local government, or a Section 355 committee of a local council • Applicant must have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) • Applicant must be located in New South Wales • Applicant must provide evidence of not-for-profit and incorporation status where applicable • Applicant must demonstrate financial viability with the most recent 3 years of financial statements • Applicant must hold or commit to obtaining public liability insurance of at least $20 million per occurrence before executing a funding deed • Applicant must be a fit and proper person or legal entity • Applicant must not be insolvent, bankrupt, or subject to ongoing legal proceedings • Applicant must declare that they are not aware of issues that could cause reputational or other risks to the New South Wales Government • Applicant must make a financial co-contribution of at least 20% of total project cost unless an exemption is approved • Project must be located in an eligible regional New South Wales local government area or eligible area • Individuals, sole traders, unincorporated associations, for-profit and commercial organisations, and government agencies or statutory authorities are not eligible
Eligible applicants are incorporated not-for-profit organisations, incorporated Aboriginal community organisations, Local Aboriginal Land Councils, Lord Howe Island Board, unincorporated Far West groups, local government, and Section 355 committees of a local council. Eligible applicants must also make a financial co-contribution of at least 20% of total project cost, unless an exemption is granted. Individuals, sole traders, unincorporated associations, for-profit and commercial organisations, and Australian or NSW Government agencies, state owned corporations, or statutory authorities are ineligible.
