Who is eligible for the Community Participation?
- Applicant must be an incorporated not-for-profit organisation, incorporated Aboriginal community organisation, Local Aboriginal Land Council, Lord Howe Island Board, unincorporated Far West group, local government, or a Section 355 committee of a local council
- Applicant must have an active Australian Business Number (ABN)
- Applicant must be located in New South Wales
- Applicant must provide evidence of not-for-profit and incorporation status where applicable
- Applicant must demonstrate financial viability with the most recent 3 years of financial statements
- Applicant must hold or commit to obtaining public liability insurance of at least $20 million per occurrence before executing a funding deed
- Applicant must be a fit and proper person or legal entity
- Applicant must not be insolvent, bankrupt, or subject to ongoing legal proceedings
- Applicant must declare that they are not aware of issues that could cause reputational or other risks to the New South Wales Government
- Applicant must make a financial co-contribution of at least 20% of total project cost unless an exemption is approved
- Project must be located in an eligible regional New South Wales local government area or eligible area
- Individuals, sole traders, unincorporated associations, for-profit and commercial organisations, and government agencies or statutory authorities are not eligible
