Who is eligible for the Accelerating Regional Innovation Fund?
- Be an existing incubator or accelerator that can assist entrepreneurs, new businesses and start-ups in the focus industries
- Be an existing incubator or accelerator that has been operational for at least two years
- Have an Australian Business Number and be registered for GST
- Be financially viable and likely to remain so over the duration of the project
- Have demonstrated skills and capacity to deliver relevant programs and support
- Have at least $20 million public liability insurance, or be able and willing to secure it before entering into a Funding Deed if successful
- Be based in regional New South Wales, Wollongong or Newcastle
- Be able to commence within six months of funding announcements and complete by 30 June 2024
- Be one of the following entity types: Australian incorporated company, incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust, incorporated not-for-profit organisation, or publicly funded research organisation
- Joint applications are acceptable if the lead applicant is an eligible entity
- Individuals, sole traders and partnerships cannot apply
- Australian or New South Wales Government agencies, State Owned Corporations, statutory authorities, Local Government Authorities and Section 355 Committees cannot apply
- Organisations without an Australian Business Number, unincorporated associations, insolvent organisations, and incubators or accelerators located in Greater Sydney cannot apply
