Who Can Apply

• Must be one of the 17 successful recipients from the 2022 Aboriginal Languages Community Investments Program • Must be located in New South Wales and/or deliver services to communities within New South Wales • Must hold public liability insurance of at least $10 million per claim • Eligible entities include Aboriginal corporations, Australian incorporated companies, local Aboriginal land councils, incorporated cooperatives, incorporated trustees, and unincorporated groups with an eligible auspicing organisation • Must provide letters of support from, or evidence of consultation with, Aboriginal Community representatives • Individuals are not eligible • Federal and state government agencies and bodies are not eligible • Local councils are not eligible • Schools, universities, TAFE, and adult and community education providers are not eligible • For-profit organisations, including Aboriginal businesses, are not eligible • Unincorporated organisations without an eligible auspicing organisation are not eligible • Organisations with unmet acquittal or reporting requirements for relevant funding in the previous two years are not eligible
Applicants were limited to the 17 successful recipients from the 2022 Aboriginal Languages Community Investments Program. Eligible organisations had to be located in New South Wales and/or deliver services to communities within New South Wales, and hold public liability insurance of at least $10 million per claim. Eligible entity types included Aboriginal corporations registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006, companies incorporated in Australia, local Aboriginal land councils, incorporated cooperatives, incorporated trustees on behalf of a trust, and unincorporated groups with an eligible auspicing organisation. Individuals, government agencies and bodies, local councils, schools, universities, TAFE and adult/community education providers, for-profit organisations, unincorporated groups without auspice, and organisations with unmet acquittal or reporting obligations from relevant prior funding were not eligible.
