Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be an Aboriginal owned Registered Training Organisation. • Aboriginal ownership must be at least 50% and evidenced through an appropriate organisation or statutory declaration. • Applicant must provide evidence of incorporation via ABN, ACN or ICN, or if unincorporated be registered with NSW Fair Trading under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 or another Act. • Applicant must demonstrate capacity to deliver a detailed training program meeting the program assessment criteria. • Training must be tailored for Local Aboriginal Land Councils, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and Native Title Prescribed Body Corporates. • Training must be delivered at no cost to participants. • Training must be delivered over a 12-month period. • Training must be delivered in the North Western and Mid North Coast NSW Aboriginal Land Council pilot regions. • Applicants do not need to be physically located in the pilot regions, though strong local presence and experience in those communities is preferred. • Maximum of one application per applicant.
Eligible applicants were Aboriginal owned Registered Training Organisations. Aboriginal owned means a minimum of 50 per cent Aboriginal ownership demonstrated through recognition from an appropriate organisation such as Supply Nation, NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce, Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations, or by statutory declaration. Applicants had to provide evidence they were an incorporated entity through an ABN, ACN or ICN, or if unincorporated provide evidence of registration with NSW Fair Trading under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 or another Act. Applicants had to demonstrate their ability to deliver a detailed training program tailored for Local Aboriginal Land Councils, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and Native Title Prescribed Body Corporates. The training program had to be delivered at no cost to participants, over a 12-month period, and as a pilot in the North Western and Mid North Coast NSW Aboriginal Land Council regions. Applicants did not need to be physically located in the pilot regions, but strong local presence and demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal communities in those regions was preferred. A maximum of one application could be submitted per applicant.
