The Aboriginal Community Safety Grant 2025 provides funding to Aboriginal entities and eligible partner organisations to deliver services and supports for Aboriginal people who have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing, domestic, family and sexual violence in New South Wales. Who Can Apply

• Must be an eligible Aboriginal organisation, Aboriginal business, Aboriginal sole trader, eligible Aboriginal community group, or an eligible non-Aboriginal not-for-profit organisation partnering with a lead Aboriginal organisation or Aboriginal business. • Eligible Aboriginal applicants include not-for-profit Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, Indigenous Corporations registered with ORIC, NSW Aboriginal Land Council, Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council of NSW, NACCHO, Aboriginal-specific organisations or sole providers that are at least 50% owned and run, and Aboriginal businesses working with Aboriginal communities in New South Wales. • Non-Aboriginal agencies must apply in partnership with an Aboriginal organisation and be an eligible not-for-profit incorporated organisation, company limited by guarantee, religious organisation, New South Wales local council, or New South Wales non-government organisation established under its own Act. • Aboriginal sole traders or businesses must have an ABN and a primary business activity related to delivering services to Aboriginal communities; the project must not be profit-making in nature. • Not-for-profit unincorporated Aboriginal community groups can apply only for Category 1, or for Category 2 or 3 if partnered with a not-for-profit subcontracting organisation. • Applicants or their partnering organisation must address NSW National Redress Scheme sanctions. • Applicants or their partnering organisation must not have outstanding acquittals with DCJ. • Applicants or their partnering organisation must be based in New South Wales for projects carried out in New South Wales. • Applicants or their partnering organisation must maintain adequate and current insurance cover, including workers compensation, professional indemnity and personal accident insurance. • Applicants must have public liability insurance of at least $10 million per claim, or be willing to purchase it. • Projects must take place within New South Wales and deliver services to Aboriginal communities within New South Wales.
Applicants must be eligible Aboriginal organisations or businesses, or eligible non-Aboriginal not-for-profit organisations partnering with a lead Aboriginal organisation or Aboriginal business. Applicants or their partnering organisation must address NSW National Redress Scheme sanctions, have no outstanding acquittals with DCJ, be based in NSW for projects carried out in NSW, maintain adequate current insurance cover, and hold or be willing to purchase public liability insurance of at least $10 million per claim. Projects must take place within NSW and deliver services to Aboriginal communities within NSW.
