Not-for-profit groups can apply. Projects must be Aboriginal led, including Aboriginal-led partnerships. Projects must align with Dhelk Dja Action Group priorities and the Dhelk Dja 10 Year Agreement. Funded projects must provide culturally safe, alcohol, drug and smoke free environments and have Working with Children’s Checks and insurance.
Applicants are not-for-profit groups seeking support for Aboriginal-led projects or Aboriginal-led partnerships in Victoria. Projects must be consistent with the goals and objectives of Dhelk Dja Action Groups, strengthen the capacity of local Aboriginal organisations to address family violence, provide an ongoing or long-term benefit to the community, complement existing local projects or initiatives, demonstrate partnerships with government or non-government initiatives, and align with the Dhelk Dja: Safe Our Way – Strong Culture, Strong Peoples, Strong Families 10 Year Agreement (2018–2028). Funded projects are expected to provide an alcohol, drug and smoke free environment, provide a culturally safe environment free from violence, ensure volunteers and staff hold a current Working with Children’s Check, maintain appropriate insurance including public liability, and have a positive working relationship with the Dhelk Dja Action Group.
