Who Can Apply

• Applicants must be not-for-profit groups • Projects must be Aboriginal led, including Aboriginal-led partnerships • Projects must be consistent with the goals and objectives of Dhelk Dja Action Groups • Projects must strengthen the capacity of local Aboriginal organisations to address family violence • Projects must provide an ongoing or long-term benefit to the community • Projects must complement existing local community projects or initiatives • Projects must demonstrate partnerships with other government or non-government initiatives • Projects must align with the Dhelk Dja: Safe Our Way – Strong Culture, Strong Peoples, Strong Families 10 Year Agreement (2018-2028) • Funded projects must provide an alcohol, drug and smoke free environment • Funded projects must provide a culturally safe environment free from violence • Volunteers and staff must hold a current Working with Children’s Check • Applicants must have appropriate insurance cover, including public liability • Applicants must have a positive working relationship with the Dhelk Dja Action Group
