Who Can Apply

- Fewer than 20 employees, annual turnover under $10 million, active ABN and GST registration. - Must be located in an eligible disaster-affected Queensland local government area. - Must have been actively trading before the event and intend to continue in business. - Must show at least 14 consecutive days of no trading or a 60% revenue drop due to the disaster.
To be eligible, a business must have fewer than 20 employees by headcount at both the time of the disaster and the time of application; annual turnover of less than $10 million; an active ABN held at both the time of disaster and application; GST registration at both the time of disaster and application; and be located in one of the specified local government areas. The business must have been actively trading immediately before the disaster, intend to continue or have continued in business after the event, and not be insolvent or have owners/directors who are undischarged bankrupt. It must also demonstrate that for at least 14 consecutive days due to the disaster it either could not trade at all or experienced a revenue decrease of at least 60% compared with the same 14-day period in 2024, or 2023 if 2024 revenue was impacted by Tropical Cyclone Jasper. Businesses trading for less than 12 months must provide BAS evidence for Q2 and Q3 of 2024-25 showing a 60% reduction in revenue; if they have not submitted a BAS for Q2, they are not eligible.
